View Full Version : Jets that come with HMF pipe... going to work?

Just bought a HMF sport pipe from ATVgalaxy, a seller on ebay who actually has a store in California. Anyway, it comes with free jets, and I'm wondering if they should work with a UNI filter and box vents. Hardly anyone buys a pipe without doing intake as well, so I'm hoping that was taken into account and it'll run well.

Any ideas?

Might but most likely wont be the (perfect) jet for you all bikes are different, hell the 400ex isnt even jetted right from the factory!

I'm pretty sure that comes with a 155 main, which should be in the ballpark, but does not come with a pilot.

when i bought my HMF it came with 150 main but i put a 42 pilot in and a 140 main and it seems to run perfect.

You must have a Dynojet 140, which is about identical to a Keihin 152.

OK, pipe showed up today.

It came with a Keihin 152.

Do I definitely need to replace the pilot, or typically can fine tuning to find the right main work well with just the slip on and filter?

The pilot jet is too lean in stock trim. Adding a pipe only makes it worse. Do yourself a favor and pick up a 42 pilot. You'll probably want to adjust the needle, too.
