More discs means more top end/less torque, less discs means less top end power, and more torque.

In the manual that i got with my white brother pipe they said, with using stock jetting 12 DISCS worked best on the dyno.if your going to run with your air box lid off to be safe go 1or2 sizes up on the main jet, hope this helps.good luck.....

get a dyno-jet kit. if you are below 3000 ft use a 165mj, stock needle one clip lower, and a 42 pilot. i run this jetting with a T-4, K&N filter, no lid, and no choke. these mods w/this jetting gave me instant throttle response and a lot more power. last time i checked my plug it looked good.

if your gonna use the stock filter with the choke in, you should try the dyno-jet 160 instead of the 165. hope i helped.

oh, and make sure you get the stage II jet kit, bot the stage I. stage I is just replacement for completely stock engine, or engine with just a different filter.

Leave the 12 discs in place. IMO--a good jetting start would be a #40pilot jet, and a #152 or a #155 main jet.

The dynojet kit doesn't come with a pilot, only a new needle and a bunch of main jets, IMO it's a waste of money. Just go down to your local dealer, order a few specific jets that you'll need and save yourself some $$.

Good Luck!!
