Trans oil

Has anyone run the honda HP 80w trans oil and if so how did they like it? Need to change my oil and was having a hard time deciding what to use. Always used the Honda HP 10w40 syn in my 450R. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I always use the Honda Gear Oil in my quad and two stroke bike. Never had any problems.

I understand that the 450R has seperate tranny and engine oil, and that the Honda Gear Oil should go in the tranny, not the engine oil, but that's just what I've heard, not read.

yes the 450R has seperate motor and tranny but you can run the hp 10w40 in the tranny side. Just wanted to make sure the 80w gear oil was ok to run before I dumped it in there. Thanks.

I'm using ATF type F in everything, my blaster, 250r, kfx400. Works 1000x better than the 10w30 I was using.

I thought the kfx needed new plates until I switched.
