what does a cool head do and how much power does it add, like to a 87 zilla

I have a coolhead on my Banshee. The only difference is you can (relatively easily) swap out domes to raise compression. More compression does give you some more power. I put 20cc domes in and left them. Theoretically, I could change to smaller domes for higher altitude...

I don't think the "cool" part in the name does anything for cooling, as it implies.

If I remember correctly, LT 500 were notorious for loosening head studs. It seems like CT or somebody can install larger studs that stay in place better. You should contact one of the engine builders about it before messing with the compression.

Actually the "Coolhead" by ProDesign does cool better. The coolant flow is redirectied with the coolhead vs a stock head, on a banshee anyways. Plus, you don't use a headgasket anymore, the coolhead uses o-rings.
