Well we can now welcome my daughter, Cameron, (aka, Pink Power), to the Prestigious Club and membership in the "Over the Bars Club !" Yea !!!
As I type this, we are sitting in Johnson Valley, Mojave Desert, OHV Recreation Area. This is her first time riding her quad in the open desert, and is doing great. yesterday, she progressed to full throttle settings, (I removed the throttle limit adjustment), and she is now doing second gear.
We were riding a little track near our camp, and she now feels like a full blown racer, and ready for the pro's, Haha.
She was even putting a pretty good spanking on Mommy on the track. LOL!
I was doing some donuts in the sand, and the next thing I know, Cameron is doing them with me,
"You GO Girl !!!"
She was doing pretty hot, and was even getting it down to keeping one front tire in one spot while ripping 3 or 4 full circles. not bad for her first try!
anyway, she was getting a little cocky, and tried a top of second straight-away, and hooked it too hard to the right, and hung her butt to the left. made it about 3/4 of the way around, when the tires caught an edge, and highsided/flipped it GOOD!
she got launched doing a flying W, and hit the turf in a cloud of dust. She didn't get hurt at all, just a little spooked. this was her first experience with a **unintentional dismount**, Haha!
we ran over, picked her up and dusted her off, and dried a few tears.
she walked it off, and in a matter of 5 minutes was fine, and ready to ride some more.
for the rest of the night around the campfire, I kept giving her a hard time saying, "Cameron ate it Big Time"! "I'm telling everyone on the forum!"
She was just saying, DAaad! you cant tell 'em I crashed!",..... oh yeah!, wanna bet?
So here it is, and we can now welcome our newest member, a bonified, verified, certified member, to the same club that we all belong to,....
