what are a good pair of shocks that are arent $1k??

lol it won't cost 1k for a pair of front shocks unless they are axis or long travels. More likely you can get a real nice pair of fronts for about 720. But if you wanna go even cheaper you can get some ohlins or works.

get some PEP tripple rate w/rezzies, these will run you around 650 for the fronts, the wait is a long time tho

Get some Elkas With SSD and Comp adj. They will run ya about 750-800 bucks and the best place to go is the Quad Shop. Tell Jeff that Justin sent ya. They are great.

Yeah I would get the Shocks that NACS listed and those are the same ones I have also. Then you can just have your Stock rear rebuilt.

works are good for there money.. but if you have the money to spend definatly get the elkas, they are alot better.

I had a similar question not long ago. I had some really great advice from Nausty and a few others. From what they tell me, Elkas are outstanding. I wrote to Elka one morning about a week ago asking them if they had shocks for my poopalaris. They wrote me back the same afternoon with recommendations and prices. The fact they got back to me so quickly had me stunned! lol

I wrote to custom axis and asked them the same questions. They got back to me about five days later with no details. The only thing they said was that they are currently working on a shock for the polaris. Didnt give me a time table or anything to else to go by. Elka has my business.

Elkas. look around for a good cond. pair of used ones. i got the best elka shocks out there for $570 shipped. elka triple rate ssd comp and rebound adj. w/ piggy back

Theres too many variables in your question. Decide exactly which shock/model you want, then ask how much. :D

well it will be around 730 if you go with triple rates from pep or elka and a rear will run you about 550 from both companies although I would just get the fronts and wait tell you get more money for a rear if the money is a issue. Shocks arn't something to slack on if you race mx.

well elkas are no longer 730$ they are now 850$ for the triple rates ssd compression adjustable piggy backs... thats someone told me they just paid for theirs a few dayz ago...

I just got off the phone with Yan at ELKA, Pricing for shocks is going up 1-20-03 75.00 across the board. Old pricing is still good!

Man $75 is a lot. They have to watch that or people won't be able to buy them because they will be so much. A lot of guys would love to have Axis, but don't because of the price. Elka doesn't want to get to be like that....

Yeah I would still get the Elka's. That means for the Fronts I got in my Signature they should now be around $800. The Rear should be around $380.

$895? That's the same price as PEP ZPS. Most guys will get the PEP's, unless they don't want to wait. I got my fronts for $725!

Elka did raise their prices! They origionally said it was going to be on the 1st but decided to wait till the 15th. Someone decided to say that we were lieing about the whole price increase but that is not true at all! I encorage anyone to call Elka and ask about their price increase!!! Mesz1 is correct on those prices!!!
