oohhh boyyy . i just had this problem last week. my 04 i bought used had never been apart and my carrier bearings were bad. i fought with the axle nut for 3 days. spraying it with pb blaster wd 40 anything i could think of. i finally got the nut loose and the snap ring off, but the assembly was siezed onto the axle. i used a punch and a hammer, heated up the assembly and started tapping it. it took a little bit but i got it to come off after a lil while.. but, the brake rotor hub might be siezed onto the axle too! so watch that. mine was and that took another 3 days to get off. i had to cut it with a torch and use a 4" grinder to cut through it enough to get it to slide off with a little friendly force of course !!! good luck..

Take a 4x4 piece of wood about 3 or 4 feet long, and beat the axle out. That's literally what I have to do every time. No big deal. Once you have the axle out a couple of times it gets pretty easy.

once you do get that stock junk out put in a rpm axle and anti-fade no more problems comes apart by hand after that

so we got it off with a fair amount of wdand some tough love. the next challenge was getting the axle and the carrier out. the bearings were seized to the axle and it was tough as hell but we finally got it. as of now hes going to need a new axle and carrier both are shot
