Inconstiant Spark...Help

I have an 06 motor i put in temp until i get my cased fixed. When I loaded it up at the track last weekend it was running just fine, now today I went out to start it and i have no spark. Right after I put the motor in I had the same trouble. Any ideas what it could be?

Take your coil off and make sure where your coil mounts to that the ground to the frame is not corroded up. Clean it up with some 180grit sand paper, and replace your sparkplug. Sparkplugs do go bad on a fourstorke. And Then take your meter to check if it has the right voltake that the manual calls for. The coil might be bad too.

Thanks for the info. I actually found the problem. whenever the throttle lever was against the little button in the thumb throttle housing, i would have no spark. I put my thumb throttle back on and it runs and starts fine
