Not a ton of great stuff this morning. Fog was heavy and when it broke we had mixed clouds and then ultra bright skies.

Fishermen started closing in and the Osprey decided i was the least of his worries...but he kept a close eye on me

Atleast they gave me a few more chances at them today

The wind kicked up pretty good, and it changed the way they would fly in to the nest but I had no oppertunity to change my position when a fish was brought back to the nest

I never saw the adult Eagles this morning. I set up on them for about 3 hours. I spoke with 3 different boats when i was pulling out and none of them had seen or even knew Eagles were on the lake. I have a feeling they were just back..out of sight watching things.

I am pretty sure there are two young ones in the nest

A shot from my MoMarsh looking at the nest. Im actually tucked into some old standing tree's and tied off. With my set up, I can get about a 75% fill of the nest and still have room to catch the Eagles flying in and out

Cool pics as usual. More to add to the "Pappy" folder.

But how did you take a pic of the camera? :p

If you could ever catch him at a GNCC, you would know:p He looks like a mobile camera store.

Are those shots taken from that far away?:eek2:

The distance perspective is a little off because there isnt anything for scale in the foreground in the first shot and teh 2nd with the camera is with a wide angle. Im about 100 yards offshore.

Once I get the eagles used to me I will move in closer, but they defend thier nests and I dont need my head ripped off:p

Pappy,

Enjoy the Wick! I still dont have my Dale motor back together after the carnage from Walden.

Great title on the NEATV website that is so true
"Can you handle the worlds roughest sandbox?...then be at the Wick this Sunday!"

That track is the toughest track in the nation when it comes to physical endurance. It makes children out of men.

Get to work you slacker!!! Hell, you have more....I think yer chicken!:blah:

We are rolling out in the morning, gonna crash a hotel somewhere and head over early to catch all the action. Pretty sure Creamer and a few other AMA Pro's will be there.

wow.. the fish pic is a great one..
the perspective isnt something you see that often..
so you dont normally get to see a good view of the feather positions across the back..

nice shot.
love to see it in a higher res..
