I'm looking for a 250r t-pin specific laeger steering stem. It used the heims for tie-rod ends. I'm striking out and those frenchies don't understand what I need. Can anybody help??

Scott from laeger told me that I can get newer parts to be able to use my stock steering stem. This may help some that are in a similar situation. I still want the original design. This is what he told me I needed to convert to a regular stem.

You can use any stock replacement stem you would like. You need to order a T-ROD-PRO (x2) and in the description you need to put the width (+1, +2 etc.) and you will need a ROD-END-L (x 2).

Your best bet might be to contact Stoneconcepts or bear81 on ebay to see if they have one.

You can try Pinitatv on here as well.

If you are going to order new tie rods, you might as well get Mike to make them since they should be pretty simple - heim on one end, tie rod end on the other.

The t-pins for the 450R are setup that way. Obviously the original design is probably the best, but I don't think you will lose that much performance with one end tie-rods. JMO.

I'm gonna order them on monday from Laeger, the retro-fit so it works with a stock stem. I got the phone number of an american parts source. I'm still in for a original style steering stem, if anybody got one for sale. Laeger didn't make the old style stems for awhile and its unlikely that anybody has one new. Soon after the 400ex came out, the systems changed to use 400ex brakes and stock stems. I must have a late 90's, early 2000 setup since it uses 250r brakes and the specific stem. If you need Laeger parts, email them, its on their old website, you don't need to go through that french site and they know what they are talking about. The Frenchies didn't know what my t-pin setup was, they never heard of that style of stem or tie-rods.

I've got a t-pin that uses 400ex calipers and still uses the 250r style pro trax specific stem.
