I installed some Fox Podiums that originated from a new Cobra 50 on a project Quad and am wondering what everyone is doing to silence the clanging noise from the solid spacer that limits the lower spring rate. There is about a 2" aluminum spacer installed between the two springs that makes alot of noise when the the suspension is not loaded. Is their a fix?

Sounds like you may have a lot of vibration in your motor. Is it a cobra motor? I don't recall having that rattle from those on our ECX50.

First of all the alumn. spacer is to limit the travel of the upper helper spring which allows you to be adjustable on how soon you want the suspension to progress to the main spring. If the noise on the alumn ring is bothering you, you could take a can of spray silicone and put a lite coat on the spacer inside and out, that will linit some noise. (Be careful not to put to much this is could cause drag on the shock body) If you do not want to do try that you can make pvc spacers, we have used this many times. The best lenthgs vary between 1-1 1/2". Hope this helps.
