I think what he means to say is the guy was just cruising in 2nd gear and the head gasket went, hydro-locking the top end, seizing the motor up. Low rev incident problably means less damage internally. At minimum it will need complete disassembly of the engine to clean out contamination from coolant. Probably a good idea to replace the crank as it's a sure bet that the sudden stop of the piston at the top of it's stroke didn't do the con. rod any favours, regardless of how slow he was going. Don't forget the crank main bearings either while you're in there.:) Good Luck, and have fun eating 400's up when it comes to life.

Why don't you go ahead and do the exhaust cam mod while you're in there. I read that they work pretty good with the exhaust cam moved one tooth on the timing chain. Also, I'm told that there is also an oil pump mod you can do that can provide better reliability. Just a few things to consider since it will already be apart.

yea i have an 05 and i got the timing mod done, definately a good idea and it doesnt cost anything!

i would definatly change the timing chain as the standard ones are aweful get worn out really fast!!:)

Nice pics, I guess it did come apart easy. The piston appears to have pulled apart from the wrist pin and the connecting rod looks to be bent. Your going to need to get down to the crank next. I would say crank is spent. Jug has major scores also
Enjoy the power of the beast
