View Full Version : All I want is a good duning cam?

With all these damn cams out there witch one is the best for me?
My bike has the full WB pro mag, all around cam, rev box, 11:1 piston(.040 over) and a full palish on the head! I ride dunes and thats it! So........Any help would be nice thanks.......Erik

if u ride in the dunes u want more top end reving power. id got for a race or track cam. (same thing) it give an engine builder like TC ,Sparks, or any other good engine builder place for a good cam u will never go wrong with one of their cams.

I would buy a Web 463/9i cam. You will need hardfaced rockers, and springs, and retainers I think. Maybe even shorter guides, but it sure is a sweet cam. I run it in my 440. I think the # is 55922, but dont quote me on that, im not sure.

The Web 479 or the HRC would be a couple to look at, the Web 463 is a really aggressive cam that may need a higher comp ratio to make it really work well.

I have the Web 479 and ride at the dunes alot. I like the cam.

Hey is the 463/9i more aggressive than the 479?

Yes, substantually, more lift and a lot more duration. Check the #'s on their website

I was told that the 463 is the most aggresive cam that Web makes...and I think that info is correct.
