getting the stator off??

were tearing the motor down to put a new case on, the right if your looking at it from the front. but we have everything else off an the case split but it wont come apart beacause of the stator. how do you get this thing off? is there a special tool needed? thanx

you must be talking about the flywheel. the stator stays inside the cover when you take it off. and yes you need a special puller to get the flywheel off.

sry i thought that was the stator. is the flywheel magnetic? thats why i thought it was the stator

Yess Flywheel is magnetic. Your stator is behind and inside it.
