possible dumb question?

well i need to replace the rear axle bearings but dont want to pay the price for oem or have to order online if i can help it. so i was wondering if anyone has tryed crossing the bearings and seals over and getting them at an auto parts store? or would i be wasting time trying this?

u could try it or try a company that sells only bearings thats what i did for my aftermarket carrier and saved $15

advance carrys one that is the same but with a different part number. they couldn't cross reference them in the computer so i just went through the bearings untill i found one. ill try to get the part number tommorow. i couldn't find the seals.
