I overfilled the fuel tank and the gas that hit around the neck of the tank now just has a different look to it; kinda has a haze look to it. I rinsed it off immediately and have waxed and tried various things. Still doesn't clean up right. Is that just what happens if fuel hits the plastic or is there a better way to clean it up?

Mine was new so that could be. It somewhat cleaned up but you can still tell when looking closely. In addition when I ride and dust starts to collect on the bike, that area really stands out. It seems to almost attract to that area and collect. Ends up looking like the spill before I cleaned it up. Its odd.
