i like your taste. i personally would take the chevy myself. the 04 and similiar years are my favorite.

does that truck come with a duramax with an allison? that combo makes me want to sell my truck and get a chevy. its amazing.

however both trucks are nice trucks.

the trucks are both overpriced, especially the dodge.

The Cummins is a GREAT motor, but the Dodge autos are junk.

The Chevy is a 6.0 gasser, which is a good motor, but wont get the mileage, or be able to tow like the Cummins... however it has a much better transmission.

Personally if you don't have to pull too heavy of a load I'd be looking more at 1500s, especially with gas slowly creeping up again.

If your dead set on a 2500 I'd say drive both and see which you like better, both have their upsides and downsides, and at the end of the day you're the one that has to drive it. Get what you want, not what everyone else says.

I like my chevy 2500HD. It has the 6.0 motor and it really is a good motor. I bought mine for a great deal and it came fully loaded with heated leather, power locks and windows. I get about 10-12 MPG.

Could you post or pm me how much you paid for your truck and what you think about the price on the 04 i was looking at. Have you had any problem with it. Does it have sum ballz?

Btw, a kid from my highschool who graduated last year plays baseball for onley junior college

Really? What is his name? I'm sure I have had a class with him. It doesn't have a whole lot of "balls" really. Its geared more higher so it really does well on the highway pulling a trailer or just at higher speeds. The 04 doesn't seem too bad I would try and talk him down a little though. I actually paid $13,000 for mine but it has a little over 100,000 miles.

I think the chevy looks nicer but I believe the dodge would be a better choice. There is no better diesel on the market then the cummins. Right now diesel is cheaper than unleaded and you would get better mpg out of the dodge also. I agree both prices look high so I would haggle them or keep looking.

Go for the dodge for sure, first and most important is the diesel especially since its a cummins, second its solid front axle not IFS like the chevy. That cummins will run for ever for you, thats why i bought a diesel, they may be a bit more expensive in up keep but they will out last any gas motor. Buy the cummins take good care of it and it may be the last truck you ever have to buy.

Older cummins Yes! I'm not so trusting about the newer ones. My sisters just blew a motor (they were glad they got the extended warrenty!). My neighbor blew up his megacab cummins with about 20k miles on it.
