welp its time to upgrade to a 450r carburator which version should i install?
which carb is best for power?

04-05 carb
06-09 carb

04-05 is a much better fit from what I understand. This is the way most go.

04 05 they are a keihin flat side and will barely fit the newer FCR carbs are to tall.

the 04-05 is the 42mm butterfly valve carb the 06 and newer is the 40mm fcr carb
