Lt230e Maintenance

I have a couple questions. I just bought a Suzuki LT230E about a month ago and this is my first ATV that I have owned; I have riden them off and on for about 15 years though. What is the regular maintenance I should do after each ride? Also, the last time I rode it the shifter came off. It looked like there was an E clip that fell off so I bought a pack of 10 incase it happens again. Is the E clip right or is there something else that goes there?

well it is a smart idea that after each ride ( if you don't ride that much ) to clean it up. wash it, lube the chain, check the oil and make sure you have enough in there or it isn't to dirty, clean your air filter or any dirt off of electrical systems or wiring.

i'd also reccomend on the occasion checking your vavles, compression , spark plug ( make sure it isn't fouled up)
