at the end of my last race it seems so hard to press it was like pushing a boulder i couldnt use my thumb barly my palm

has anyone had this problem and is there a "cure" for this

seems like you have something binding up in your linkage system. remove the carb and open up that side plastic cover and inspect and lubricate

is there a special thing to use to lub and it was fine at start of race this was in the somerset gncc race me and my freind he was on a 03 400 me 06 had same problem

there is a tool that they use to lube the cables, its like some type of clamping tool they put on the end of the cable and you can spray chain lube or wd-40 or whatever.

the 400's have a notoriously hard pull. i didn't realize how bad it was until i rode two other 400's with stock carbs after riding mine with the 450R carb on it.

there is a way to disassemble the spring on the carb and reduce the preload, someone has posted it on here a couple times; i need to find it again and do it to my fiance's and my sisters quads.

so the 450 doesnt have as stiff as of a throttle like this?

no it is considerably lighter.

which would you say is better like on our thumb for those long races
