National motorcross races

I want to race a couple of the national motorcross races this year and im not really sure what you need. How much does it usually cost to race? And how much are all the gate fees and stuff like that? Is there anything you need or do you just show up with your quad and say i wanna race.

I usually spend about $600-800 for a national weekend between entry fees, race fees, gas, food and other stuff. All you need to race is a tether,nerf bars and an AMA Card and need to be over 18 or have a parent with you.
