Smokin!!

I started a thread on here lastweek, it was titled, "Running too cold." Well, my ole mighty Honda is smoking pretty bad now. No, I didnt blow it up. After telling my local dealer that I had the head glass beaded he asked me if I replaced the valve guides and seals. He told me you can not reuse them after they have been removed.

I did not know that. Only 8 hrs on the machine and I have to tear into it again:rolleyes:

hey red, i have a 91 250x that was smoking bad last season. i tore it apart to replace the rings. well the rings and piston were fine. the valve guides and seals are what caused the smoke. i am still in the process of tearing apart and putting together, so let me know the cost of the seals and guides if ya can....good luck, it could have cost you a lot more!

The guides are 15 bucks a piece. So, without anything else, Im 60 bucks in the hole already. Thats what I know so far.:D
