Anybody have a inline temp gauge? It has been over a year seen I have ridden and dont remember what my bike usually runs at. It leaned out and scored the cylinder so I did a top end Im at 68.5mm now. Doing the break in and its at 190. At idle its 150. I changed jets and it didnt change the temp. I went from 175 jet to 180. I will do a compression check tomorrow.

mine will run anywhere from 160 to 220, depending on what speed I'm riding, temperature, humidity and load on the motor. I usually do mx and it runs TOPS 190, I was running sand yesterday and it was running 220 at the highest. I don't use a stock radiator, its a afco, dual pass. Did you richen the needle, there is more to the jetting than the main jet. I wanted my motor to be alittle more responsive on low end, I leaned the needle(raise the clip).

Ok I did a compression check with three different gauges and I have come up with 192psi. I think my gas is 89 octane. I just used what ever I had laying around. Im going to pick up 100LL today I think this will fix it.

should run a bit cooler with the added higher octane fuel.

I have alot of riding to do before September. Yes the preignition thing and black tar substance was a good indicator but I didnt pick up on it. I should of from when I had that 273 kit and stock head with 245psi cranking presure.
