hopefully getting a new quad to race XC with soon. been looking at YFZ and TRX 450's mostly but havent seen very many ltr's. anyone have a link to some XC setup LTR's? i would like to see what people have been doing to theirs to set them up for XC. and is there anyway to narrow them up a bit without buying a new axle or a-arms?

Lonestar Racing makes XC Kits for the zuki's, [ http://www.lsracing.com/suzuki-ltr450.htm ] and you would of coruse need skid plates, a bigger tank because the ltr is primarily a MX-Ready quad.

Here is mine Pre-Beadlocks. Relatively simple setup, GT Thunder revalves all the way around with the high speed piston and XC linkage in the rear, 4/1 front wheels, Z400 rear hubs, baffle out, lid off, Cherrybomb, good filter, 22" RAZR2's, 20" grooved RAZR's, Flexx bars, Rox Risers, Rekluse Z-Start Pro, Precision stabilizer, etc, etc.

I LOVE it, came off a nicely modded YFZ before this and to me the difference is night and day. I plan on ordering GT Thunder a-arms in the near future, as well as a HMF Ballance full system.

Pre-Revalves, on the line for ATVA Round 2:

Stock stem, 2" Rox pivoting risers positioned for about 1" of rise, and 1" forward, and Fasst co Flexx bars 15* quad bend. I'm only 6', but I like my bars higher, my buddy is 6' 4" and says mine is the most comfortable hes ever ridden.

ok cool man...thanks...im 6'7" so, my 1 inch risers arent cutting it anymore...lol...mine look visibly lower than yours do, so im gonna have to look into some more rise...if anyone else has any other ideas, or has done this...pm me...

I LOVE my Rox risers, I'd highly recommend them. My 15* bars are a good bit taller than normal bars as well so you might want to check that out. Any more rise than 1" you will have to do some modifying of the brackets that your lines and cables mount to. Most noteworthy the throttle cable, otherwise when you turn you will be accelerating :eek2:

ok...would you know how i would modify that stuff?

and i feel quite comfortable on my ltr...i really dig it...once i get a little more rise in them it will be great...the only place i notice the fact that i am a giant is when i try to jump anything with a steeper face, i feel too far over the front...but that will change...

i just realized that we hijacked this thread...

Just pull the front plastics off and you can see everything that needs to be modified. I've got the 2" riser's and love them how I have them positioned.
