Fixing to split the cases on my R project motor just to go through it completely. Is there a beter or worse gasket kit to get or stay away from ?

I was going to get a gasket kit from Rocky Mountain when I ordered tires last week but I saw some kits on e-bay for a good bit cheaper. Just don't want to get a junk gasket kit.

Thanks

i've tried cometic, and k&s. and by far the k&s were better. seemed to be the closest to stock.

last one I used was a K&S, it was pretty good, I didn't use the head gasket , because I use the CR ones.

I just bought some off Ebay, I was suppose to get six side case gaskets, and two center. They got the order switched, so now I have a pile of center gaskets I hope I never use, They seem like they would be good ones, if you want one pm me your shipping address. By the way you need to check your PM box.

i hated cometic and k&S, so i tried a set of gaskets off ebay. the guy was selling 2 center and 2 clutch cover gaskets for under 10 bucks. so i bought a set, the guys user name was gasketman something? anyway, they are awesome, i was able to reuse it 3 times before it started to come apart! 3 times on the clutch cover. So i would defeneatly reccommend them. They come off easily and seal well, all fora great price.

Yep, I also got a K&S set on ebay with a Wiseco piston kit. They seem quality and fit was good. I took the sandwiched head gasket apart and used one of the thin portions to get the compression up; so in reality, I have 3 head gaskets...
