color matching gas tank

i was wondering like on the 08 09 450s the tanks are red on the red models is that the actual tank or is there a removable cover?

Alright I've got a question... Ive asked this before but I haven't gotten an answer.
Will an 09 tank fit on an 05 bike(plastics, frame, seat and what not). I dont mean the cover, Im asking about the whole entire tank.

He is talking about the actual gas tank, not the cover.

I have never done it but im pretty sure it will work, everything is pretty much the same the tank itself is just a little bit smaller so the cover can go over it.

shuold work people are using 06+ on 04-05 to use fcr carb set ups it should bolt up

Oh if your talking about the actual tank then no it won't work. They have different mounting spots.
