depends on what type of riding you do, if your a duner, or someone thats wfo all the time. theres no point. Great for trails though.

The esr is probably the best buy, but not the best design. The rotax style powervalve is indefenitly the best. I believe duncan racing uses them. But the price is upwards of 1,800 bucks i believe.

What size are you planning on getting? 265, 310, 330, 350, 370 stroker?

ya the rotax style is the way to go but i dont have the cashola to get that.
Thats why im looking into the esr.
i do mostly trail and dunes.
i will either go with a 350 or a 370 so i can kick the **** out of the four strokers.

I have a lrd powervalve, its uses the rotax style. It rips. I had a esr cylinder, it didn't seam ported too well, the two sides from my eye(no measuring needed) ports were different sizes, angles different and exhuast was even. If you did buy a esr, before you mount it, send it c-leigh for re-porting.

From comparing it against the stock ported, esr 330, completely stock and lrd pv. The lrd pv won it easy. I know there is alot more going into setup than just the cylinder. Those are the only ones I can compare, I used nearly the same stuff for all of them. Too many other factors that could be going on to compare other people's bikes.

I have a 310 ESR pv with killer porting from Dave Moore. Only 5 rides on cylinder. Thinking $1200

It's great! I can climb anything with no worries! It's dyno'd at 63hp. I love it! Ya I'm selling it.. Parting the whole bike. Believe me I don't want too! I paid $1500 for cylinder ( dealer discount ) then spent $350 with dave for porting and tune. It's a great set up!

Yes it had awesome porting. Tuning will be up you.. Reedcage/ carb / jetting. I can tell you what I'm tuned at. Cr rad valve / 39 PWK carb / ESR intake witch is pretty much a hose with K&N filter.. I could sell you the complete set up if you would like.
