rev limiter issue

Im in need of some help.... im working on a 03' honda 300ex, it has a fmf full pipe, k&n with lid off, and stage 2 jetting!! the rev limiter is kickin on at half throttle or a little past half ...... i cant seem to figure it out...... nutrual and reverse grounds are good!! please shoot me some info if ya can!! Thanks!

i've heard of this before but i can't exactly remember what wire was damaged. If I'm right it should be near the brake pedal there is a wire that freys and shorts out. if its an o3 the reverse inhibitor unit is not in the cdi it has a second black box on the front of the bike. follow all the wires comming out of this box and check all the connections. hope I was some kind of help

i had the same problem with my 02, just switch the wires around that plug in to the side of the engine by the rear brake pedal.
