Whats the top speed on a stock Blaster?

Anyone know the top speed on a Blaster, stock?? While we are at it I'd be interested in top speed for a 250ex. My oldest son(12) is gonna need a bigger quad soon.

I know some one will get mad at me but a 250ex goes about 45 and a stock blaster goes about 55

atvaction ran the blaster at 53 and i think the 250ex was just below that. Im not sure about the two fiddy

Well I don't know about that, I was on my friends 660 4x4 and I was runing 63 and my friend jay was on his blaster and past me by a long shot

Yea blaster is 55 but my ttr 125 beats a 250ex easily and the ttr is supposed to go 45 sotock so the 250 is like 40.

Well i know my buddy has a stock blaster and he runs about 55.I have a mojave and it used to run about 56 when ti was stock! Me and him woudl drag race and then switch quads and it woudl be the same every time! the mojave woudl win buy about a half a biek leagth! NOW i can beat him buy about 5-6

i know what your saying. i have a 200sx and i ride with some polaris 400xplorers (2 strokes) when i go to my uncles or up at the cabin. on a dirt road my 200 will keep right up with my uncles xplorer and will waste another guys. my uncles goes 65 and when i passed the other one he said he was going 55. i have also beat rubicons that said they were going 55. i think that the 4x4 speedo's lie a little bit though just to make them seem faster or maybe we just underestimate the speeds of quads.

45 for a 250EX? i don't think so. i have never heard it being that low. i've heard 52 or 53 from reliable sources. blaster is 55. i'm getting 20's and got a pipe and other stuff to cut my top speed and it came to running 46. i don't know where you got 45 at. but top speed doesn't matter anyway.

I bought a 250EX for my son who will be 11 in May. He is about the size of an average 10/11 year old and the 250EX is near perfect. Maybe he could put on an inch or two to better fit but it was a great buy. I got it used from a guy in Indy. I have owned over 30 quads/trikes and all of mine looked worse after the first hour. I paid $2600, maybe a bit high compared to some I have seen but like I said it was showroom condition.

Top speed? With me on it, I got it to 51 mph. I am 6'2" and 220 lbs though. I took a serious look at the Blaster for my boy. It was a better fit for him, but the 250EX is actually bigger in most areas than a 300EX. Since he was coming off an LT80, I didnt want him to have to toy with a clutch or kick start. Not to mention, the 250EX is virtually fool proof. Gas it, clean it and occasionally change the oil. Period.

your dealer is either a pothead, or someone that dont know ne thing about dirtbikes and quads.......

ur bike goes about 60 give or take..... my dealer says a 250 with me on it (im 5'11" 135lbs) would definately go 50-53.

so ur bike goes around 60mph

A stock blaster will not go anywhere over 53.
A stock 250ex will not go over 45 for sure.

I was running top speed with my friend on his 300ex and we were right next to each other. I think he had a few mph on me but it was close.

I know someone is gonna b!tch at me, but these are my results...

and i would be the one bytchin....... u mean to tell me that me losin to a stock 300ex (this was when my 250 was stock) by only 2 lengths means that my 250 goes not even 45??!!

ok ya sure w/e u say there..... so what u just told me is that a bayou 220 can beat my 250- uh huh sure i beat piped bayous with my stock bike and still beat them by a good 3 lenghts

you can believe what u want to about the top speeds, but for us guys that have the 250s and know what they can do; its probably alot different from what u think

Have you ever heard of accelaration :huh ? I've road a 250 and a 300ex and there is no comparison. It could have just been the rider on the 300ex. Everyone always thinks that their "Machine" Is faster then it really is but trust me, much of them have no idea what they are talking about. I always here people saying "Well my blaster/300ex does about 60, maybe 70" Thats just a bunch of B.S and someone who has never actually clocked them.

My friend has a Kodiak which has a speedomiter, with my mods below, he was going 55 mph and I was going slightly faster then him. I might have been doing close to 60 mph. I also have XCT 20 inch tires on there.

I never seen a 250ex ever hit over 45mph. Not busting on you 250ex guys, just saying what I know....

well same here my friend has a polaris expedition, and we ride alot and hel go by me and il go by him and one time i asked him how fast he was goin when i passed him, he told me a good 50(cause he alwayz watches how fast he goes)

and ive heard my dealers tell me ne thing from 48-55

so depending on what tires u have and what other mods u have the stock speed is about 50

Well first thing, don't listen to anything your dealer tells you, Get a more reliable source. With your mods it could possible do 50 but a stock blaster only does around 53 which a 300ex isn't that far ahead.

well i did a search on atv top speeds and it gave me all these quads, and it said a 250 does 52.8 in 5th gear

and it lists the other gears but i didnt feel like typin it.... but thats what the site says and its around what the dealer told me so, thats what im gonna stick with

The dealers are not always the smart ones. Just take my advice.

Now tell me, if a 250ex does 52mph then a blaster must do over 60? Something doesn't sound right?

Edit- I found many sites with all different results, It said the 250ex does around 47 which the blaster does 59 which I think is bull

my friend has a procircuit slip on, on his blaster and he got it clocked at 64

then the day after i made a thread sayin that a blaster cant go that fast with a slip on

i dont know what all u lil kids with 250exs think ure sayin but yamahas are not ****TY,and if there so ****ty than why can a banshee and raptor smoke any stock honda ever made,my blaster stock would do 60,now i have it geared up with lots of performance **** and it will do about 67,a stock 250 will do aroun 47-50

From what your saying it sounds like your the little kid. Performance is one thing but I would rather have a better chassie and suspension (Honda) then all performance and worst chassie (Yamaha) IMO.

My z400 is supposed to go 68 with the kandn and the headpipe welds grinded out. How fast do you say that would go if you are saying the ttr goes 60?

If you think there is a 10mph diff between a 250r and a banshee you are mistaken.

A buddy and I have both put a GPS on our bikes and gotten top speed reedings...and ours are very different then anything I have seen, do your own tests on your own bikes and then you will know for SURE on YOUR own bike.

nismo there is alot of different stuff from a 250x and the 250EX...the 250x is a 300ex with 26 more cc's and electic strating... and there is alot of diff. in the 250ex and the 300ex so just to put in my .02

Maybe, just maybe it will.... it depends who can ride clutch better, and who knows when to shift and not rev the engine till its about to blow.

Also, it depends on what type of surface you are racing on and when modifications each of you have on your bikes.

and if they do my stock t4 will do like 80 miles per hour
I raced 1 that was jetted and had a exhaust on it. my t4 was buring coolant muffler was clogged and I still ruined him.
Blasters are quick but not that quick. I am thinking around 55 sounds right.
200 air cooled 6 speed.
my t4 does 74 miles and it a 250 2 stroke liquid with a 6 speed tranny.
