my bike build

i got rid of the quad and i'm finally fixing my bike.. just threw a bunch of money at it, and thought i would post some pictures of the progress.

things that are currently getting done:

cylinder sleeved
head milled for high compression
v-force 2 reeds and reed cage
fmf fatty header
fmf shorty silencer
wiseco piston
renthal chain and sprockets
tag bars
cycra handguards and bark busters

i'll be running 110 octtane in it

whats next shortly down the road:
new green plastics with black number plates
black fork guards
textured gripper seat cover

at that point my build will be completed for now. enjoy pics of the current progress

i had to let my quad go cheap so i could get this thing fixed. it was worth it for me since i much prefer the bike now.

made a little progress this week. got my reeds, my head, pipe, and i pulled my powervalve apart in preperation for getting the cylinder sleeved

i was impressed with how clean the powervalve was. i was figuring everything would be loaded up with carbon deposits

that little 125 is going to have alot of torque , im also shocked how clean the Pv was waht oil and ratio do you run ?

Clean internals is determined more by the oil you run and how well your bike is jetted, not by the ratio. R50 and dominator were by far the cleanest oils I've used. MC1 was the worst.

Bike's coming along nice. I do like the new little logo on the fmf silencers. Looks pretty cool. If you have the extra bones, I'd suggest porting. If I had to pick the single best engine mod I did to any of my 125's it was porting.

After that I'd get your suspenders done. Anymore I get all the suspension done on my bikes before going too crazy on the motor.

i run maxima Super M ester based synthetic. its the blue bottle, not their castor blend. i run a 32:1 mix. and yea that picutre was taken before i cleaned it off. they was barely any carbon on it. the bike is jetted perfectly i guess

i'd really like to do the suspension. i think thats gonna be next. i was gonna port it, but i couldnt afford it so i decided to do compression instead.

my goal is to get the bike to respond off the bottom without hesitation.

i think the base gasket went. this caused it to lean out and over heat which made the ring stick in the piston and it caught the exhaust port and took a chunk out of my cylinder.
