brake calipers

does anyone know if a brake caliper from a 2005 300ex will fit my 2000....also im havin trouble remounting my rear brake caliper. I puished the piston all the way back in but the pads still won't clear the rotor..im not sure if the indicator is in the way...any suggestions?

yes the caliper from an 05 will fit your 2000 and about the pads not fitting there is a hex bolt on back of it that you have to unscrew so that the mounting braket is fully compressed and then try to put a clamp or some huge pliers on the piston and push it in then put the caliper back on with the pads and tighten the hex bolt back up if this doesnt work your caliper might be frozen make sure you use some kind of brake lube if you are reasembling any slides and things
