I am beyond saddened
Fellow racers and riders Matt Bartosek has reportedly passed away from injuries sustained during a crash while fighting for the lead in the TT portion of the ATV olympics.

Please pray for his family.

He will be missed by all who ever knew him, or had the pleasure of racing against him

I went out to ******** to check the dates and races for the quad olympics and seen that today was TT day after reading he was hurt. TT racing is no joke when you see the speeds them boys reach on a TT track.. This is a very tragic thing to here,,,my thoughts and prayers go out to that young man and his family,,at least he probably died doing what he loved to do most..:(

i just want to say that i knew Matt personally I have hung out with him at some local races and at a few nationals that i was able to attend this year.... he was a great person and always knew how to make me smile when i was down! I just want to tell his family that i'm very sorry for the lost and he'll always be in my prayers!

Althought i did not him personally for what every one says he was a great person and u should be pround that your son in everyones eyes was a great person and one of the fastest damn riders on the curicit.All my love goes to u and to him he will be missed dearly by many.

I also Knew Matt Personally.... We have known eachother for a very long time- and he did die doing what he loved. Racing was his life, he worked at Baldwins to be around quads, to get the exsperience. His Mother was 100% behind his racing, and his biggest fan. You went to a race and saw her taking pictures and just being the wonderful women she is, and He did Appreciate her- you could just tell. He was Funny- and Real... and will be so missed. When i read the first post in this thread it sent chills down my spine. Most of the time when you hear of an atv fatality its some drunken fool at 3 in the morning. You never expect such a experience rider like Matt B to crash as bad as he did during racing. It really saddens me to see such a young kid who had his whole life infront of him die. Its really going to make me think twice about what i do when i am out on the track. Acctually its making me think twice about going to the track...

oh my god!! i have no clue what to say! It scares me to death when i hear this kind of stuff. Especially when it happend to a close frined of mine..he had sponsors looking at him ride and he is paralized from neck down for life do to a bail over a tripple! After that i seemed scared to get back on a quad!
Every time i race my mom says sumthing like "one time your gunna wreck and its not gunna be so funny!!!" "one day you could kill your self on one of them things and it scares me" all i ever reply to her is "At least i'll die doing what i love most"

When my friend called me from the olympics today and told me the news my heart sank, i didnt know matt well but i had talked to him before at the races, I have watched matt ride at almost all of the nationals and he was definently one of the fastest guys out there to be so young. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bartosek family, he is in a better place now.

Please also remember the Hurst Family in this Time. Cody Hurst was lost earlier this year at a national race, and as the family was finally excepting it... this happened. They are all in alot of pain right now. Please extend your prayers to them at this time.
