Alright so I bought a Banshee the other day and it ran great for a couple days then it started acting up... Every once in a while when i started it it would idle good but not rev up at all and smoke really bad... then eventually it would start running right again and be fine... this happened a couple times and now today it ran fine for a few minutes then i shut it off for a little while and it hasnt ran right since. The fourwheeler is idling fine but wont rev at all... I pulled the left plug wire off and it idled slightly weaker then i plugged it back in and pulled the right and it stalled right out... both cylinders have real good compression and spark but dont seem to be getting fuel passed idle.
The Banshee is an 01 bored 80 over with Trinity Stage IV cool head, pipes, and silencers, 35mm keihen carbs with 162 main jets, v-force 3 reeds, white brothers boost bottle, and k and n filters... If anyone has had this happened or has an idea about what is wrong please let me know... im thinking its a carb issue but im not sure which part of them would cause it to run like that.

Dude 35's are WAYY overkill for a stock setup. With just pipes and a head you should be running a max 28mm.

Not saying thats your problem, im not too sure, but those are overkill for sure.

No1 could think of the parking brake safety switch? All I get is that my carbs r too big... The only problem with that is that it runs amazing except for when that stupid switch messed up... My buddy who borrowed his cousins banshee knew what was wrong right when I told him hat was happening

Honestly, I know about the TORS and the switch for the TORS in the parking break, but by the decsription I didn't think that would be it, the way you described it, it sounded like a carb problem.

By the way, is your TORS still connected? If so it WILL go bad eventually lol.

Well they're great bikes. Congrats:cool:

And "welcome to the addiction"

You might want to check out hillclimbersforum, much more people with banshee's on there and a lot more info available. This site is cool for 4-strokes but everyone is a banshee nazi. (Mainly because this site was started as a 400ex site)
