b4 u turn the big nut, turn the small tall nut clockwise, so u would be pushing down on the wrench towards the ground, also use a big huge adjustable wrench. and have somebody else apply the rear brakes so u can turn it. sure sure to get lube all around it man

F-in HATE when stuff doesn't come apart or go together right. It's so fulfilling & rewarding to do your own stuff, but when you don't have the right parts, tools or things go wrong, it just ruins the day!!!

Haul that lunk to the dealer or local shop and let them take a look-see. Most places will lend you their eyes for a few minutes and give you some advice. They figure if they keep you happy, perhaps you'll think of them for parts or other services down the line.

Best of luck...I feel for ya. On the flip side, this may be a sign to just buy a new quad! :D

You have to get the snap ring out and then it should slide out.

thats what i was gonna say. turn both nuts towards the axle to expose the ring, remove it, then you should be good.

it a small lock ring on the axle. if you move the wide round nut back about a half inch you will see the ring. you will pop that off and ur lock nut should slide off. the lock nut hides the ring.
