2001 400ex upper end noise

i have a 2001 400ex just did a complete rebuild upper and lower and had new valves put it got it running got valve lash tight for it to run but there is alot of noise in the top end now what can i do

make sure its in time-- mine did the same thing .it was bad when i got it-get the timing in on the cam gear and fly wheel -you should be good....
