View Full Version : 180 main sound about right?

looking for a starting point on the main jet for a ported pro-x 310 with CT pipe, V3 reeds, K&N with airbox eliminator and a 38mm PJ Keihin bored out to 39mm.

The jetting also depends on your elevation.

I'm running a cast ported pro-x 310 at sea level with a 180 main. I haven't done a plug chop yet but it duned all last weekend with no problems and pulled very well with no sputtering or bogging.

thanks, what # pilot are you using and what size carb?

1.75 turns out
DDJ needle
3rd clip
#7 slide
180 main

It does have a slight hiccup/sputter some where around 1/4-3/8 throttle, but I rode with it that way all weekend. I may have to tweak the jetting just a little to cure that.
