im hearin a pretty loud ticking noise,it will sometimes randomly goes away but after it stops ill let it idle and its fine until i hit the throttle not sure if this is a sign of the timing chain being stretched or not,im just curious of what im getting into and such so any input would be great

sounds like it might be a chain but i'd start by checcking your chain tensioner. good luck

Well i'm not totally sure but i doubt its the valves if the sound comes and goes.

well a quick way to check it is take the cover bolt off the tensioner (i cant think what its actually called) and take a small regular screwdriver and unthred the screw in there till it stops (you should feel spring tension as you unscrew it) then pull your screwdriver out quick and you should hear int kinda snap back in. hope that all makes sense. good luck

not sure if yours is doin what mine was doin but the tick would go away wile riding but as soon as i hit the throttle at any speed i got a loud tick and not a valve tick. after more inspection i saw oil coming out of my head gasket. so im replacing another head gasket. thats what my ticking noise was

nah im pretty sure its not a gasket leak, wouldnt i dont have any leaks at all, also mine goes away randomly idling or not and after the ticking stopped i hit the throttle and the ticking started again, hope you can understand what im tryin to say, thanks EXnMB
