i have a leager +1 steering stem and a 86 frame is there anyway to make this fit. If so how?

forgot to mention the stem made for an 89 frame

86 thru 89 are the same stems. The plus 1 justs raises the handlebar mount 1 inch higher. It should bolt right up if not you might have a stem for a different machine.

It should go right on. The +1 just means that the handle bar mount is 1 inch higher than stock, everything else is the same, will go right in.

Will I need spacers bc it rubs the bottom inbetween bearing and stem stops

That is not a 250R stem lager or what ever it was built for an aftermarket frame or a different model quad!

that looks like a trx450r stem to me i just helped my buddy install one today

well after looking into it im not sure what kind it is contacted previous owner and said he used it on a 89 leager frame, do you guys know what kind it is or if the stem for the leager frame will fit stovk
mines a 86

Not a Laeger stem! At least not one thats for a 250R! Ive ran'em for years and ive never seen that type of bottom on a 250R Laeger stem!

that doesn't look like the stem 250r specific t-pin either. Mine looks nothing like that. my stock stems look different also. Not a 250r stem.

otherwise do the stops fall into place as the stock stem would? if they do, and the height is correct for tank clearance then you may be able to use it with spacers?:confused: juss a thought
