13t vs 14t front sprocket

So I want a little bit more low end power for trail and dune riding... Would you guys recommend a 14 or 13 tooth front sprocket? I want to be able to notice a difference, but not a HUGE difference.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know your currnet mods, but I'll say I have a 14 now and am going up to a 15. I can't imagine what a 13 would be like.

only engine mods at the moment are K&N filter and FMF Powercore 4 Slip on. I will soon have a stage 1 hotcam

Dropping 1 tooth on the front sprocket is like dropping 1 tire size. Your stock front sprocket is a 15T I would go to a 14T. You will notice it with just 1 tooth drop believe me.

The year split I believe is 05 15T front and 06 and up is a 14T front.

If nothing els buy a few dif sizes there like $8 a piece from rocky mountain atv. I love the primary drive sprockets, only things I run is primary drive in aftermarket sprocket and chains.

i did a few things at once, but going from a 15 to a 14 front was a night and day difference.. i can hardly keep the front down now on hard launches :eek2:

i have a 13t and im waiitng on my chain so i can swap it out. my buddy had the same quad as me with a 14 and said it made a big difference. guys say the 13 makes a huge difference. you loose roughly 8-10 mph top end though thats the only downside with a 13.

05 and up has the 14, mines a 05 it came with a 14

Im going to be running 13/36 with 18" rears when i get my front sprocket in from rockymountain, backorder, i cant wait.

my 05 came with a 14. i put on a 13,a huge difference. a lot more bottom end. i ride trails,race in SORCS( hare scrambles). i come off line in 2nd gear. 2nd is like 1.5 ,3rd like2.5.does cut top end,but runing woods don't have a loy of open speed anyway.tight turns and hill climbs ,now it eats them up. best mod you can do.

Dropping front sprocket size rear sprocket side and rear tires all at the same time wow top end speed will be like 4th gear lol.
