Could possibly be your valves floating at high rpm. when was the last time you checked them. could be weak valve springs or Could be wrong main jet size. just a thought.

it runs absolutely fine thre 1st-3rd gear once u hit 4th at about 3/4 to full throttle starts boggin..same in 5th if it is jetting would it just be main jet?

What does your spark plug look like? Maybe weak ignition?

sounds like possible fuel blockage, carb bowl running dry

water in the gas? Mine started that way then got worse as the bowl of the carb just filled with more water. Took the carb apart last weekend and rebuilt it and dumped alot of water out. I know i couldnt even go past 1/2 throttle in any gear and at times it wouldnt do anything but idle

Main jets a 188, to me that doesn't sound small for a curtis sparks exhaust 13:5:1 piston and a stage 2 cam..what u guys think? What jet is the pilot in here im new to this bike

sounds close, most 04/05 carbs with pipe/filter run 180-195 mj

you checked plug?

pilot jets a 52, and plug doesnt look to healthy ill replace it are you suppose to set these plugs or just throw the new one in.....any1 suggest upping the 188 main jet or it may not be the issue???

i also noticed wen i pulled it apart the o-ring for the top of the carb was missing wen i took it apart, could this have any impact on an issue? should i bother ordering one or just put some silicone or sumtin

other than jetting others claim to run im at a loss on the 04/05 carbs

if its an 0-ring that is letting air in from a place it shouldnt im sure it is causing additional problems

sorry im not more help

well after cleaning carb and putting a new plug its running a little better but still staling at high rpms in 4th 5th gear just bogging down...pilots a 52 main jets a 188 if i put a 195 in anyone think this will solve my problem?

ok im getting the HRC needle just for the hell of it (and hoping it solves my problem) but again should i maybe put a 50 pilot instead of the 52 and go up or down from a 188 main or just stsay the same....again full curtis sparks exhaust, stage 2 cam,13:5:1 piston running w/ no lid k&n filter
