I need a new seat cover/seat. Honda wants over $200 for the entire seat and most aftermarket covers are around $50. What should I look for when buying a seat cover?

You can find seat covers all over ebay for around $25-30. Check there.

What is a gripper seat cover? Is it a brand or a style of seat cover? I have seen numerous covers advertised as "gripper" covers.

ya get a gripper one it is a type of material its like rubber t will keep you on the seat even if its wet or muddy i got one off of ebay theres a how to in how to's on this web site that will tell you how to put one on if you want i can take a picture of mine and show you the material if you need the foam to you can get that on ebay also

So I need to take the stock cover off then?

Yeah, you replace your stock cover with the gripper cover. They are pretty easy to install if you have a staple gun and an extra pair of hands to help out. I am going to be replacing mine with a gripper soon. They are definitely worth the extra money.
