i am thinking about putting a cr500 engine in my 400ex ive heard they are hell to ride but super fast is there any thing i can do to cut out the vibrations and is there any way to counterbalance this engine?

Vibration is not as big of a deal as people make it out to be. Sure they vibrate but they don't brake frames or cause any discomfort when riding. I think a lot of people just over think the whole deal with rubber mounts and all and they only make things worse. Anyone who says "It'l vibrate the teeth outa your head" probly tried to biuld it in a weekend with a ****ty welder and a whole lot of zip-ties. Just take the time to do it right and plan before you do anything.

This was the design for my frame. It is a bolt together frame and alowed me to use an unmodified cr500 pipe.

First time it ran after changing the frame to fit the cr500 pipe.

Another video in the gravel pit. No drag videos, 450r and ds450 refused to do it on camera, but that's not a fair race anyways.

Still getting used to it, runs a lot different with that pipe. 18" tires in gravel are a joke!

lil bax:

I got my motor off ebay a few years back. As soon as I started it the damn thing melted the rings to the piston. I would check cr500riders often and ask around on there.

Im from ottawa, we ride in limerick and larose.
