View Full Version : Extended front brake lines

I noticed yesterday that my bar set-up is a little tall and stretching my front brake line when I turn all the way to the right.

Is there a particular set-up one of you guys could recommend, or a home remedy, at least? If I could just squeak an inch of play out of it, I would be good to go...

slide the whole brake lever assembly in a hair on the bar until it's better; i had to do that when i put my risers on, but since the brake lever is 3 miles long i didn't notice the difference.

I've already got the handle all the way in just to have enough room to get the grips on, lol. I also slid the bars forward and even dropped the levers down to alleviate some of the pressure. I can turn from stop to stop, but it's really tight when turning to the right.

I'm thinking about trying to relacate the splitter an inch or so higher on the frame, but I'm not sure if it's a great idea. I'd hate to kink the hard lines when trying to straighten them a little...
