Hey guys.... Had a bit of an ignition nightmare this weekend.... I drive WAY too far to ride to have these kind of silly problems, so I wanted to revamp the old parts. Here is the plan, after that the question:
New wiring harness (Handmade with Weatherpack connectors)
New Janssenn Motorsports coil (mine gave out after 3 hours this weekend)
New CDI
New Stator
New Pickup
Statement: I don't want to go 2001 CR250 ignition, because we lug the quad a LOT, and often putt around with the kids. I don't need a drag race bike, I like the performance now, just want more electrical reliability.
Question: Should I go OEM Honda for the CDI? I plan to use OEM Honda for the stator and pickup (too many Ricky Stator horror stories read).
Opinions? Remember, not really performance, just good, reliable spark...
