cylinder head. What size to drill?

One of the 6mm holes are stripped. What size should I drill and tap the hole?

On my 400ex

do you mean the clinder head rocker box cover? get a helicoil kit at the auto parts store, for the 6mm it will tell youwhat drillbitsize to use right on the package.

You can use a thread insert and stay with the 6 mm, or you can convert it to 1/4 - 20, or use a helicoil.
Personally I would use the thread insert!

Can't rethread it if the old threads are pulled out. There won't be any material there
