hey guys i am getting my motor redone do to a blown headgasket (already a thread on that). here is whats inclued

+4 mm hot rods stroker crank
416 stroker piston
p&p job
installing Gthunder head studs
crf450r cam chain
all new gaskets

here is the cost off it all i already did a down payment of $1000 and will be paying the rest june 1st

how fast should my bike be with that motor and these mods?

full WB pipe
k&n with outerwears pre filter (no lid)
450r carb
all new chain and sprockets stock gearing
Race cuts (if it matters)
fan cooled
and i weigh 90 pounds

should i be able to race a 450 hyosung? ( a guy in town just bought a new one and wants to race me)

if u r getting done what u say u should have no problem --mine would eat it alive... ur 90lbs thats tiny .. i'm 200 6'3 i would spank him- 90lbs on mine would be a rocket lol jsut race him who cares if u win or lose --if u have to turn his gas off lol

i dont understand you guys u buy all these aftermarket stroker kits and bore you bikes why not just make an even trade with a guy who wants to slow down a bit from a 450r???? i know i have a 400ex and but if it was me i would just get the 450r and spank everything on the drag. then you dont have to worry about overheating in the trails. a stock 400 will smoke a 450r on the trails and boring your engine would just make it handle like s***. or consider in a 250R. speaking of that how does those 250r's do against 450r's???

If your so worried about smoking him, save up some extra cash, buy a banshee, and throw pipes+filter+reeds on it. You'll smoke 450's 400's whatever. lol.

But yeah, that 440 stroker should rip. The hyosungs suck.

Honda400, how does boring the engine make the handling suck? That's not true.

first of all dont get a banshee....unless ur just going straight they handle like crap and they are made for duning, yes it will beat that 450 but the 450 can go more places than the shee. DMC400 when u bore u get alot more hp and torque and ur going to need some aftermarket shocks (not 450r's). whicjh cost like $1500 and ur already spending that or more for a 440 stroker!!! so unless u have some money to burn i would just get a factory stock race bike like the 450r that is made to handle that power.

Dude, I am not trying to be a prick but stop running your mouth. I can't stand this ****. YOU were the one asking about banshee's and you never even rode one, so who the hell are you to go around saying they handle like crap and are made for duning? Honestly, that's not cool. Go ride one before you start downing them. That is exactly what I told you in your old thread, don't follow the honda bandwagon and turn into a banshee hater, but obviously that didn't help.
My banshee with the 13 tooth is awesome in the trails, and I have absolutely no problem with it. The 23's on front help soak up a lot of bumps and the rear shock is great. I actually take my shee in the trails more then the 400ex.

Back on the 440 topic.

Yes, you're increasing horsepower and torque, but that doesn't always necessarily mean you need new suspension. A decent rider can still ride pretty damn fast on a stock suspended quad. Only downfall is it wears you out faster. Hell, if you look at that one MX vid from 1986, they were all using stock shocks with built motors lol.

Honestly Ive rode Banshees in the woods with 450's and 400's and the 'shees will leave em. It just depends on the rider. But the 400's are more comfortable to ride and have a power band suited better for woods and trail riding.
As far as your build goes thats gonna be a awesome running quad, stock suspension or not.

Honestly I have rhode all 3 IMO banshee will not beat a 450R or a 400 unless modded heavily.

450R runs great in the woods but for the powerband I agree the 400 is best suited for it. Keep the 450's on the MX track.

A lot. Probably a 440 stroker, stage 2 cam, and 450r carb to match a piped 450r.

on an engine dyno? a lot. in a race depends on the rider. dumb guy today tried to tell me that i would get raped by so and so in a race because they have a bigger engine. 1st off he doesnt ride or drive anything motorized he changes like the wind. He will say to me out of no where thor is for posers troy lee designs is for anyone that is good at riding. or regular razrs suck and he points out the worst tire they make and says its better I tell him no and he then agrees and goes around syaing the razr is the best. he said for the race its like a ferrari vs a small 4 clylinder no matter what the ferrari will win. WRONG! not true they could spin out or just be a bad driver. Hell i've seen miata's and even civic's on a road course whoopin up and passing Z06 or other cars 10 times the price. Operator skill who knows the machine better. Even in drag racing if they can shift right or at the right RPM you could win. equal riders your screwed then they have the advantage

but then theres me i want a sleeper look like when i pull up on line against 450r which i beat many with stock 400 but need more power for others and then u take off and when your done there half way down ha ha
