I am wondering if anyone has a 31 or 32 tooth rear sprocket that will fit an 07 Apex 90. We have a race coming up on the beach and I was thinking of running larger tires so someone told me to change the rear sprocket to a larger size, sound right? Not looking for anything fancy, just a sprocket that will probably be used a couple times per race season.....Jeff

if you don't mind me asking but what kind of track are you using 30 31 32 teeth on, with what size tires, does the clutch not blow up. thanks

we ran a 16 32 gear ratio for the 1/8 mile flat track and harescrambles no your clutch dont blow up lol. You adjust for it . 18 inch rear tires.

30 tooth rear is the stock sprocket on our 90. We use the stock 18 inch snow hogs no clutch problems at all . We are getting ready to run a race on the beach and I am thinking of using a taller and wider set 18x9.5x8 so I will need to change the gearing.

YOUR TELLING ME THAT YOU RUN 16 32 GEARS ON 1/8 FLAT TRACK WITH 18" TIRES, SOUNDS LIKE YOU GOT IT ALL FIGURED OUT. SOUNDS LIKE IT COMES OFF THE LINE GREAT, BUT THEN WHAT HAPPENS. GOOD LUCK

I was using 16 inch tires on that track clutching and rpms is what we used.

if you don't mind me asking but what kind of track are you using 30 31 32 teeth on, with what size tires, does the clutch not blow up. thanks what i was trying to ask is what kind of racing he was doing on the beach, here in oklahoma we don't don't have beaches, so i was trying to figure the ratio and clutching to use on the sand, and you chimed in with we ran a 16 32 gear ratio for the 1/8 mile flat track and harescrambles no your clutch dont blow up lol. You adjust for it . 18 inch rear tires. you have to have alot of motor to push that around a track and be competitive, with 16" or 18" tires on 1/8 track

Yes you do have to have a little power BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER its in the clutch, its in the clutch, its in the clutch I dont know how many people I have told this and they always think horsepower which means nothing on these minis you want torque and clutch set up. Harescrambles run 19 35 gear ratio we ran 18 32 the smaller the rear the more speed so set up to which you need power or speed or both its all in the belt drive. Fair races we ran 19 30 its all in how your quad does with these application. Hope this helps you out.

why not use go kart set up, more bottom end and top = whole lot of power

Whats the difference between go cart and 15X6X8 american racers? If I go to go cart style then I have to make front sprockets when all I have to do is put on a 21-23 front aand a 28 rear. Going with smaller tires means bigger front to make up the difference of tire height. You can make it back up with sprockets and clutching no need to spend all the money on wasted items right?

The race on the beach is motocross, you can see their website www.thundermoto.com it has pics. Cheeseman runs flat track not Tyler70t, you might be confused. No we don't blow clutches, 30 rear is the stock size, so I will go up 1 tooth and taller, wider tires, maybe 2 teeth. What are you running?
