Guys,

Yeah...got the AADS bug pretty bad. Just threw on a steering stabilizer and ordered new tires for all four corners, lots of other stuff too...

What is this and do I want one?

The only ones worth getting are over $300.

D'okay.....

So what do they do? What are the benefits, any con's or just pro's? Please tell me (and anyone else who might read this) what this upgrade is all about. Thanks

Plus the Dyna tek you actually have to buy software and a cable to hook up and modify it and unless you know what your doing you can increase the timing to much and cause major damage. Dyna Tek CDI's are a joke.

Hmmm.....sounds like a tempting accessory that is best passed on. Unless someone has some positive results or experience, I'm definitely going to leave this item alone. Thanks (cause I bet the guy at the parts place will highly recommend it and suggest it's awesome).

I just spent 2.5 hours on the dyno last week trying out 2 different cdi's.

Neither of which produce any real (less than .25hp) hp increase....they only raised or eliminated the rev limiter.

However, the +3 key from Sparks and the new carb needle did the most.

Now if you bought the programmable model from Dyna and fiddled around with spark timing, along with carb tuning....it would be worth it.

I bought the programmable model for my "R" and spent 4 hours tuning it with the carb and got 3.5 hp gain and a much broader curve all up the face

Im doing the +6 key next....if I like it, then Ill buy the programmable Dyna or Vortex and tune the most that I can.

What I have found is that the best is to retard the timing below 800 rpm for easy starts, then use the software to advance it again once it gets going.

Solid info, thanks....

Think I'm gonna pass on this upgrade gizmo, I'm just trail riding and having fun....plenty of power for me and the recent air-filter & pipe have given it a nice kick as well. Just need to get the thing jetting properly and I'm set. Thanks.
