setting up the R or the EX for hare Scrambles

What do you guys reccomend?
I like the R as far as the power it makes, but shifting the narrow band gets old quick.
What would give my r more punch on the bottom.

+4 stroker? a good pipe and a nice port and polish should get you on your way zippin away throught the trails!

A good low-mid port job from a reputable builder will be a plus. A low-mid pipe like a Paul Turner Type 6, Dynoport Big Volume, or a Sparks MX pipe would work great. Next, compression...the more you have, the more low end snap it will have. Somewhere between 200 & 220 psi should work well. Add a Boyesen Rad Valve and a Keihin 35mm or 36mm carb and you will have more torque than you know what to do with.
