will 400ex or 450r a-arms fit on a 300ex???

Hi had (have) and idea that if 400ex or 450r A-arms fit on a 300ex i might be able to widen my quad a bit with out having to pay serious bucks for after market. Will this work? Id have to put the 400ex or 450r shocks on it to make it work tho. Would this widen my quad or are the 400ex A-arms the same length?

400ex a arms will bolt right up and will make it about 2" wider but if u want to put 400ex shocks on it u will have to get a shock relocator, but on the other hand 450r a arms will not work

Okay thanks i dont know if ill do it or not. Ill post a pic if i do. Will a 400ex axle work on my 300? And if so will it widen it any?
